Math mastery checkpoint

Review all four Math domains and rate your Desmos confidence honestly.

What this is: the Math phase consolidation — one line per domain, two self-checks, then a mixed set of real official questions and an honest reflection. You've completed the TFG lessons; making the skills automatic is what the practice from here does.

The four domains, one line each

  • Algebra: y = mx + b is a rate and a start; systems are intersections; parallel slopes mean no solution; flip the inequality when dividing by a negative.
  • Advanced Math: three quadratic forms, three secrets (intercept, roots, vertex); discriminant counts solutions; decay multiplies by what remains; check radical equations for extraneous roots.
  • Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: percent change over the old base; "given that" restricts the table; outliers drag the mean, not the median; only experiments earn causal claims.
  • Geometry and Trigonometry: angle-chase with 180s; similar triangles → proportions; a² + b² = c²; circle template (x − h)² + (y − k)² = r²; SOH-CAH-TOA.

Quick self-checks

For what value of c does y = 2x + 3 and y = 2x + c have infinitely many solutions?

The real test: a mixed official set

Build a mixed Math set in the official Question Bank (opens in a new tab) — 15–20 questions across all four domains, timed at about 95 seconds each, Desmos open. Review every miss with the diagnose guide and log each in your error log with its domain and cause.

Reflect honestly

Three questions, noted in My Study: strongest Math domain? weakest? and Desmos — do you reach for it fluently, or does it still feel foreign? A "foreign" answer means redo the essentials checkpoint inside Bluebook, not just reading. Still stuck on a domain after drilling it? Free tutoring exists exactly for that.
